Vat Deferral Scheme – Service Now Open

VAT registered businesses and individuals who took advantage of deferring their VAT payment that fell within the period March – June 2020 can now apply to spread this deferred VAT over a maximum of 11 months, interest free (in equal consecutive instalments, from March 2021).

You will need to opt-in to the VAT Deferral New Payment Scheme which can be done via your online services account.

If you do not have an online services account, you can call 0800 024 1222 to join the scheme and this can be done until 30th June 2021.

This service is now open! If you would like to spread your deferred VAT payment you must opt in before the scheme closes on 21st June 2021.

The earlier you apply for this, the more months you have available to spread the payment over.
